Three Important Maintenance Tasks for Heat Pump Dryers

During the operation of a heat pump dryer, three maintenance tasks must be emphasized: burner maintenance, bearing maintenance, and post-shutdown maintenance.

1. Regular Burner Cleaning

The burner of a heat pump dryer should be cleaned regularly, as failure to do so can easily lead to fires or other accidents. Generally, after 3-5 uses, the surface of the combustion chamber should be cleaned of dust and debris. Additionally, the tension of the conveyor belt and V-belt should be checked frequently and adjusted as needed.

2. Bearing Temperature Checks

The operation of a heat pump dryer requires the cooperation of bearings. Operators should regularly check the bearing temperature, ensuring it is below 50℃, and check if the bearings are functioning properly. Under normal operating conditions, the gear noise should be smooth, and there should be no obvious impact, vibration, or transmission issues in the transmission, support, and cylinder rotation. Furthermore, lubrication should be added according to the bearing's usage. Generally, transmission bearings require daily lubrication, while motor, reducer, and support bearings require lubrication every six months. Bearings exhibiting abnormal noise or shaking need to be replaced promptly.

3. Post-Drying Maintenance

After the drying process, thoroughly clean the heat pump dryer of any debris, such as dust, shavings, and stems. After the last use of the heat pump dryer, completely remove any remaining debris; disassemble and store the exhaust hose and waste removal hose separately; unplug the power cord; to prevent rodents from damaging the wiring, remove any exposed wires or place them inside the dryer; and seal all openings in the heat pump dryer.
